Somewhere Over The Rainbow: Wizard Of Oz Costumes

Everyone loved the ‘Wizard of Oz’ and this timeless classic has inspired children and adults over the last seventy some years. The girl from Kansas

She ran away from the nasty lady down the street, and then ran away from home before being swooped up in a tornado and dumped on the Wicked Witch of the East and met Glinda and the Munchkins. Dorothy Gale from Kansas, played by Judy Garland, has won all hearts over the years with her blue gingham check dress and the ruby red slippers she was given for killing the witch. The Halloween Shoppe carries a wide variety of Dorothy costumes ranging from newborn sizes ($16.00) to plus size adult ($46.99). If you have the dress and the ribbon for your hair, then you simply need the ruby red slippers. Available in shoe covers ($7.99) to adult unisex size ($31.99).

‘If I only had a brain’

Dorothy’s friend, the scarecrow, is a lovable sort, a little wobbly on the legs and very easy to catch on fire. He wants a brain, but little does he realize that he already has one. ‘If I only had a heart’

He was pretty dang squeaky when Dorothy and the Scarecrow found him the woods. As a matter of fact, he was mumbling ‘Oil’ when he saw her. Caught in the middle of a rainstorm, the Tin Man was pretty rusty when Dorothy stumbled on him. He wanted a heart, claiming his chest was hollow. But his heart was pretty darn big and he helped Dorothy gat back to Kansas. He’s big. He roars. And he’s the biggest coward beyond the rainbow. The Cowardly Lion only wanted some nerve. According to the Wizard, he only needed confidence and testimonial to his bravery. A great protector and the King of the Jungle, the Lion was the last of Dorothy’s best friends in Oz. The Halloween Shoppe has Cowardly Lion costumes in toddler sizes ($36.99) to adult sizes ($54.99).
