Mascot Costumes

Mascot costumes are not just for Halloween. These fun and lovable costumes can be used all year long for a variety of different events. Mascot costumes are ideal for children's parties, as well as sporting events, and can even be used as the foundation for own home-based business.

Wearing mascot costumes can be a lot of fun, but they can also be very cumbersome and extremely hot, especially in summer months. Many mascot costumes make it difficult to see and can be very awkward to move around in. Use caution when you first wear your costume and avoid running, jumping, and other active movements until you are comfortable inside the suit.

To prevent overheating, only wear mascot costumes for brief periods, taking frequent breaks to unmask and cool down. Products like the Kold Vest and the Kold Kollar are perfect for summer months and outdoor celebrations. Remember to drink plenty of liquids if you are wearing your mascot costumes outside.

Mascot costumes are easy to care for and will last many, many years if you clean and store them properly. Many mascot costumes are machine washable. Use a mild detergent and liquid fabric softener. Allow the costume to air dry, avoiding any type of heat cycles. Most mascot costumes can be dry cleaned as well, but heat applications must still be avoided.

Mascot costumes and pieces of your costume that cannot be dry cleaned or machine washed can be spot cleaned with a mild detergent and warm water and should be brushed regularly with a wire brush. Store your mascot costumes in an airtight plastic bag in a dry area of your home. To keep the costume smelling fresh, place a softener sheet inside the bag.
